First raid of the expansion was Tuesday night, and we got our group of guys together for a little fun. Started with Bastion of Twilight and worked on Halfus Worldbreaker. It took a couple tries to figure out exactly what to do but we got him down without much trouble.

After that was Valiona & Theralion, which is a pretty tough fight to learn by explanation. There's lots of grouping up and spreading out and grouping back up and moving as a group around a dragon. We were not able to down them the first night, but went back tonight and got them down with a few more attempts.

I spent almost all of last night running heroics with my guild and let me tell you this, while they are certainly more challenging than wrath heroics were at release, it's not such a gigantic leap as some make it out to be. Crowd Control (while nice) is certainly not something you have to do. As long as you pay attention to the trash and interrupt casting, you can do without it for a large number of the instances. Of course, some of the pulls are just ridiculous and crowd controlling them doesn't really help.

Well Cataclysm came out Tuesday so I came back and am playing again. Though I'm not playing my paladin just yet. I leveled my Death Knight first, but will level paladin next. This expansion is a lot of fun, very cool quests. I think I will enjoy doing them again just to be able to read them if nothing else!

Well, now that I have quit WoW again, I have to do something else with this blog so I'm just going to talk about whatever I want.

Yesterday I went to the movie theater and saw Ironman 2. I did not think it was as good as the first (no spoilers contained within).

I went to Anime Saint Louis april 23-25 and, for starters, I will just say this about it: It was more fun than the only other anime convention I have been to.

Didn't say anything after the weekend raid because it went fairly well without killing anything extra.

Tuesday raid did not go quite so well since people had to leave early. We killed all the first wing bosses on heroic and then called it a night. Rest in peace my badges and loot that I don't need.

Sure were a lot of complainers in my raid tonight. First off, 3 people could not make it so I had to find fill-ins. Which makes it very hard to accomplish new things. We ended up wiping to heroic Princes for a while and then I decided to just do the rest on normal mode (though we tried Valithria on heroic, too).
