Raid Bosses Dead!

First raid of the expansion was Tuesday night, and we got our group of guys together for a little fun. Started with Bastion of Twilight and worked on Halfus Worldbreaker. It took a couple tries to figure out exactly what to do but we got him down without much trouble.

After that was Valiona & Theralion, which is a pretty tough fight to learn by explanation. There's lots of grouping up and spreading out and grouping back up and moving as a group around a dragon. We were not able to down them the first night, but went back tonight and got them down with a few more attempts.

Then we decided to check out Blackwing Decent. The first boss there is Magmaw and let me tell you this much: he's not my favorite boss! I, as a dps Death Knight, was asked to kite parasites that are pretty bad news. Meanwhile there's a ton of AoE damage and a couple individual gimmicks and a return of group movement at a very short reaction time. In any case, it took me a few attempts just to figure out the best way to kite them, since it is something I don't normally do. Once I stopped messing up though we were able to get him in 2-3 more tries. Really not a hard fight as long as you have someone to kite.

I also made a new goblin alt. I really like the goblin starting area, it's very fun and engaging. I'm sad I won't be able to go back there. :(
